You can turn up and fish on Owl Tree Pond 7 days a week as long as a peg is available. Pre-booking is not necessary.

Registration is not compulsory to purchase day-tickets to fish from 8am-8pm (Summer) / 8am-4pm (Winter) on Owl Tree Pond only. But, by registering, you can extend your fishing hours in a variety of ways (see details below).

Owl Tree Pond is a one acre canal style water, well stocked with carp to 10lb, roach to 1lb, bream to 1lb, tench to 2.5lb, perch to 3lb, small chub and gudgeon – perfect for matches, pleasure fishermen and beginners alike. There are 20 pegs (see diagram below for details), all of which will be accessible to wheelchairs when building work is completed. Facilities will include lakeside parking spaces, toilets and a small shop, meaning amenities are always close by. Please note: all nets to be used on the lake are provided by the fishery, to help keep our fish (and fish in the surrounding area) in optimum health and condition.

Tackle hire and on-site coaching are two services that will be available soon. Bait is now available (see Bait page for full details).

To extend your fishing time to start at dawn and finish at dusk or midnight, for a small additional fee, you must register. The bonus of night fishing is also available to registered anglers. You can register online, or by completing the download/print form and returning it to the fishery. You will then be contacted and invited to come to the fishery to complete the registration process and pay the one-off £15 registration fee. ID cards will be produced for registered anglers.

Registration is a one-off process (cost £15) and is one of the security measures introduced at Brooms Cross Fishery so that we know who is fishing out of hours, the aim being to give everyone peace of mind whilst at the fishery. Registering will also mean that we can send you news about what is happening at the fishery and special offers, before anyone else, so we recommend that you register.
